- The first segment is Hollywood supports, in which studios discuss sexual orientation in the workplace, and also includes Sid Sheinberg, Kirby Tepper and Elton John. The Gay veterans segment is about gays in the military and includes a looks back at the U.S. military's history with homosexuality, including interviews with Allan Be_rubé, Vernon Berg, Michelle Benecke and several generations of gay veterans. The segment Veterans of AIDS segment includes Bill T. Jones's multimedia performance choreography, a dance performance titled Still/Here, and a tribute to author Paul Monette. The segment Outwrite conference is about a meeting of gay authors in Boston, including Linda Villarosa, Urvashi Vaid, Ann Northrop, Charles Flowers, Phillip Sherman, Tony Kushner, Ann Bannon, Barbara Hammer and Jim Fouratt. There is also a tribute to Audre Lorde. Cathay Che introduces a segment titled Gay Asian theater at the Public, focusing on Chay Yew's A language of their own, with an interview with George C. Wolfe and rehearsal efootage featuring Francis Jue and B.D. Wong. Maria Maggenti provides this episode's Celebrity ID. The segment Lesbians & AIDS is about women with HIV, featuring interviews with Amber Hollibaugh and Risa Denenberg, while the segment L.A. Women's Night is about a fundraiser honoring famous lesbians, including Martina Navratilova and Melissa Etheridge. There are also two segments about documentary films: Tuesday night, a documentary on parents of AIDS patients in which parents come together in a group meeting setting, and Arthur Dong's Coming out under fire, a documentary about gay veterans. Next is the segment Harvey Milk, which features a profile of the politician, Hetrick-Martin students remembering him, and a look at an opera about his life by Stewart Wallace and Michael Korie, and starring Robert Orth. A tribute to Michael Callen concludes the program.
