This special episode of the series En Francais from November 17, 1985, retraces the journey of the exiled Acadians in France prior to their 1785 migration to Louisiana. It chronicles the history of the Acadians from the establishment of the colony Acadie in Canada, their expulsion by the British, their time in France, and their migration to Louisiana.
